Travis Scott joined Drake on stage last week to perform from the album Astroworld. However, it’s been reported that Travis was allegedly not informed about the injuries Drake sustained in a Jeep crash in August.
In an interview with radio station Hot 97 on Friday, Scott revealed he had been unaware of the incident during their show in Toronto on Friday.
“I hadn’t even heard it. I wasn’t even planning on talking about it, you know?” he said. “I was excited to play the album.”
However, Scott did confirm that Drake “didn’t go out with a bang” and said he suffered some injuries in the crash.
“His legs got broken, but we don’t have the details of the situation,” he added.
Scott then detailed his partnership with Drake and that he “knew he had painkillers” from the crash.
“We were making sure he got a good night’s sleep and just trying to make sure he was feeling at his highest,” Scott said.
Later in the interview, Scott added that he is “an artist that cannot talk about details” and only “immediately…when it’s time to talk about the things that are real.”
Scott’s status as “the Bad Boy of hip-hop” was re-affirmed when he shared the same cover of new Drake album Scorpion that he tweeted in August.
And despite having pushed back the release of his debut album Astroworld, Scott performed from the album for the first time at the Raptors v 76ers game on Friday.
